Five steps to earn your CITYBOXING Boxing Coach Certification
Online Application
Submit personal details, training history, desired level, and upload training/teaching videos
Eligibility Review
Our team reviews your application within 5 business days and issues an acceptance notice
Payment & Enrollment
Complete payment online or offline to secure your training spot
In-Person Training
Full-time intensive training at San Diego HQ or partner venues, including skill review, teaching drills, and mentor guidance
Final Assessment
Upon passing, receive your CITYBOXING official certification
Entry Requirements
Age Requirement
Must be at least 18 years old
Training Experience
Minimum 2 years of systematic training in the applied discipline
Elite Coach Extra
Level 1 certification held for 1+ year, or 2+ years of actual teaching experience
Physical Condition
Good health with no major injuries that would affect coaching
Assessment Overview
Technical Demonstration
Complete designated technical movement combinations to standard
Teaching Practice
Draw a topic on-site and deliver a 30-minute simulated class
Written Theory Exam
Safety knowledge, training principles, and class programming
Pass Standard
- Average score of 75+ across all assessment components
- Teaching practice score no lower than 70
- One free retake opportunity for those who do not pass (within 6 months)
Retake Policy
One free retake opportunity is provided, to be completed within 6 months. The retake covers only the failed component; passed scores are retained.
